Novate Solutions, Inc. is an Industrial Technology Services firm with 20+ years of providing professional engineering design, turnkey project implementation, and support services for the technology that runs industrial production facilities. Our clients are large scale industrial facilities that rely on us for our expertise and high-quality implementation of process control systems, information software, instrumentation, industrial networks, SCADA, measurement, inspection, motion, and state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 technologies.
Novate is currently looking for a Systems Administrator l to join our team at our location in West Sacramento, CA. This individual must have the ability to be client facing, have general awareness of multiple industrial environments, provide support initiative and be extremely organized. The ideal individual is curious with an investigative mindset, wants to resolve complex issues and problems, is a team player and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The Systems Administrator I is responsible for managing, supporting, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT and OT systems. This includes maintaining the integrity and security of servers, setting up server infrastructure, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Job requirements
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and manage system resources to ensure high levels of performance and availability.
- Implement and oversee security measures to protect data and manage access controls.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Collaborate with IT team members to optimize server performance and resolve system issues.
- Stay current with technological developments in server management and security to ensure the company's systems are up to date.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems such as Windows Server 2016+.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, network management, and database systems.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or CompTIA Server+.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and scripting.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems and SCADA would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Kaseya 365, Datto RMM or related support tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
License/Certifications:
- Valid CA driver’s license

Travel Requirement:
- Ability to travel to other Novate or Client site 10% of the time.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
